Why I Started North Idaho Insider
I've lived in North Idaho for many years, and in that time, I've fallen in love with this place and the people who call it home.
When I talk with people who are thinking about moving here, I realize how hard it can be to truly understand what life is like beyond the headlines and the stereotypes.
I started North Idaho Insider to change that.
My goal is simple: share the real stories or our communities so others can discover the beauty, opportunities, and way of life that make North Idaho so special.

Meet Brian Putney
North Idaho Insider is hosted by Brian Putney, a longtime North Idaho resident, community advocate, and real estate professional who spends his days exploring the region and helping people discover where they belong.
Over the years, Brian has learned that choosing a community is about much more than finding a house. It's about understanding neighborhoods, local culture, schools, businesses, recreation opportunities, and the people who make an area feel like home.
Whether he's attending a local event, interviewing a business owner, highlighting a hidden gem, or sharing insights about life in North Idaho, Brian brings a genuine curiosity and appreciation for the communities he serves.
